If you have never heard of Xceligent, you will. It has been gathering and providing detailed information on buildings in the United States in a similar fashion to Co-Star and now it is moving into the commercial real estate listing business as a direct competitor to Loopnet. This competition can only be a good thing for the industry. Find out when Xceligent will be in a city near you, if it is not already there.

Included in this show is a special interview with Trudi Lesser, President of CREW LA. During this interview, Trudi talks about CREW La’s upcoming event, Women at the Top, “The Art of Balance”, on October 18, 2012 at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, starting at 5:30 pm. Tickets can be ordered from their website at http://crewla.org/programs.html. CREW is one of the most impressive organizations in the commercial real estate business and I encourage all of my listeners to attend the event or otherwise support your local CREW Network chapter.
My wife and I will be attending this event. So you might want to ask, why is my wife accompanying me into Los Angeles, when we are so busy with our family and work that we can barely spend the time. Well it is simple:
As I have mentioned, the theme of this show is “The Art of Balance”. I am continuously amazed by my wife who not only does 90% of the home work taking care of our three kids and yours truly, but she works full time at her own business. I can’t hold a candle to her; her energy and her ability to cope with everything. While I can think of better ways to honor my wife, and while she is neither involved in commercial real estate nor is she an honoree of the event, she and I will be standing, listening to the speakers and knowing, in our own little way that she is a very special person and can handle the balance better than anyone that I know.
