In this video Anjee Solanki, National Director, Retail Services for Colliers International, asks the question, “Who’s driving Consumer Spending in Retail?”.
From Anjee’s perspective, she believes that it is the consumer habits that are driving their spending, while I, as a true lawyer should, suggest that, “it depends”. I suppose it would be more lawyer like of me to answer the question with another question, but in this video I suggest that there was a time that the fashion houses and retail buyers who would try to dictate the fashion for the season.
The more I think about it, the more examples I can come up with proving that, depending upon the type of product sold, the answer can be different.
